What’s puzzling to me is -

We have arguably an elite pitching coach in Josh, we have arguably one of the best fast-pitch pitchers in the world in Mata, we have a veteran Hall of Famer long-time fast pitch player in Pete and Lewis has also coached pitchers. To my fuzzy brain, our pitchers should be fundamentally sound in throwing the dang ball. Is Emma and the others (of those who walk a lot) not fixable?

Live stats are weird - has Fisher for the season 10.2 innings pitched

with an ERA of 3.94 and a career of 10 innings pitched with an ERA of 4.20. I believe I’ve seen that same thing for other pitchers.

In the NCAA elite pitchers will have 65% or higher strikes vs pitch count.

Bree is right at 62% so far, And, this is just her first year. Good Div 1 batters will get her at times.
