I mean... we'll see come March

If the team is out it's because of really statistically remarkable late game collapses that come down to coaching Standford and SMU should've never had a chance

Just sad we've whiffed so hard on QBs

Or development Or both ** Edited by CPVT3 at 12/6/2025, 10:45:09 PM

I've decided I want Duke to win.

Would be hilarious to deny UVA both the championship 🏆 and CFP spot.

How have Tulane, JMU, Duke etc excelled with lesser recruits compared to VT

I just don't get it. Is it purely coaching? Other teams with worse recruiting classss and less money even before this recent uptick have competent football plays, or at a minimum, some semblance of an offensive and defensive identity, and VT can't even get close to scratching the surface for several years. I just don't get how we can't even have a passable offense (no pun intended) yet other programs can, with lesser investment and recruiting. I'm super hopeful for some sort of coaching competency with Franklin. (And maybe my statistics are wrong or I don't understand something. Just wild VT has sucked for SO LONG. You'd think one year we might get lucky in spite of ourselves)

I literally don't understand the point of conference champion games anymore

What are other options to make them worthwhile? Something like - 12 team playoff - 6 championship teams (from championship games, single elimination) - 6 at large teams that require play-in games (12 teams in this pool) - one less week of other games a season In a sense it's a benefit to NOT play in a championship if you're high enough ranking
