Posting History (104)

Our offense is plagued with

"the ball getting stuck" as MY would say. There appears to be a lack of plays designed to unleash our potential slashers (Ashley O (when healthy- see link), Traylor, Soule, Amoore). We could play more physical offensively at the other positions. We don't have to play such a constipated offense.

She's relentless and takes no plays off.

Would appear to be a combination of personality, athleticism, and experience. We are very lucky to have her. She's going to be a 4th qtr factor in close games.

When I tried

with a freebie YouTube asked me to turn the VPN off.

I'm excited

Watching Soule and Osuwu highlights made me realize these 2 are players possibly listed as guards that have good length, strength and athleticism. The videos showed both were capable of spending a lot of time under the basket, driving to it, creating interior space for themselves, and rebounding down low but also leading the break and playing outside. Can't wait to see them on the court this year. We haven't had 2 players with those outside/ inside skills combined with aggressiveness, versatility and athleticism for a while. I get the impression they both were used to the ball in their hands a lot which will pose a "good type" of challenge for Kenny I hope.

Twitter account shows the new players practicing.

Major new talent now present. I've been trying to piece together who is going to get the playing time. Anybody with info whether Kenny will play a lot with 3 guards?

I have been watching a fair number

of the Aces' games. I keep watching to see her play which she did some in the 14th rout of the Liberty. I hope playing with all those talented players which keeps her on the bench is in the end a good thing for her career. She is as we know extremely athletic but so many players in the WNBA are that and bigger which makes them hard to defend.

Long term professional sports viewership declining generally

and demographically associated with lower viewership in the young as noted in the article which details the more likely causes.

Any news on a new asst coach(es)?

I didn't see anything on Hokiesports. I thought we were down two from posts below.

My android did the same last weekend even after reinstall.

The guy that answered at the ticket offc only knew Apple. You can print them out or down load them if you go to Hokiesports on PC then tickets, manage my account where you sign in then reissue tickets either to paper or download, email etc.

Traylor

She has eligibility and @HokiesWBB tweeted about her past year on May 18th. She played a significant role last year. Kenny said in the article how he felt they could all get blended together and let's hope he can work the freshman in to develop them and keep their interest up.

VPN

A VPN is a good security option as well. You may want to search best VPN from CNET, US News, TechRadar- (you'll find all give you the same names and most all of the companies give a free trial- cheaper is generally not better). Then download and follow directions and set the server to the West Coast for this task- there are multiple US locations. I have only once had trouble connecting on Youtube TV, called the VPN company, and they got me going with an alternate server.

VPN

set to West Coast has consistently worked with Youtube TV

Kenny Interview in RT

But no mention of Assistant Coaches- anyone with info?

Team needs offense >defense at the moment

Peck is a stronger hitter with higher BA and OPS than Milius and could be a future All American who was moved IMO somewhat out of position to 3rd this year. I would suspect her athleticism and fielding range makes her more of a natural at SS where she played in HS. Anyone that has played the two positions know they take quite a different mindset and skillset for a teenager playing at a high college level.

I often turn off the sound but found those two

generally fair and unafraid to mostly correctly (IMO) criticize/ praise specific ump calls, coach strategy, and players and specifically agree with their opinion that defensive errors may bite you in the NCAA tournament. They also gave a national perspective on the college softball scene. I actually also thought the Liberty announcers were generally fair.

Looks like a major contributor

maybe even this season. 4* ESPN #44 overall #11 position. Size is 5'11'- shooting guard but with ability to drive- can go left and right. Scouting reports her to be good shooter, defender and able to drive as well as dish. I found this poor quality grainy video that showed the most of her offensive game- AAU? Now let's hope for some quality forward help....
