Virginia Tech women's basketball jetted to California on Tuesday ahead of this week's West Coast swing.

Last year against Stanford, Carys Baker did not attempt a single three point shot. It was NOT because Stanford ran her off the 3-pt line. Baker focused on playing around the basket and shooting around the basket. VT lost by 1 point in OT in a game that Baker didn't shoot a single three. Imagine if she just hit one. This came on the heels of a hot streak starting with the MIami come back last year when Baker starting go off from three. Of course, as we saw against NC State now, she has to make any she shoots. But she needs to shot and hit from outside. The other guards need to do what they did against UVA when all four guards had good games. And Freelon needs to get after it. The key is Baker.
