Andy, have you ever thought about writing a book about the world of sports journalism? All the behind the scenes stuff, travel, etc.

  Not a book, necessarily, but I’ve thought about starting up a newsletter of miscellany. Just a bunch of stuff that feels ancillary or completely separate from my VT coverage.

    This is a great start to an eventual book. Just write out a story for each newsletter, or write out a story once a week. Doesn't have to be long. Before you know it you have 50 stories and the fodder to write a great book.

Great article Andy, thanks. I think most of us tend to underestimate how important familiarity is regarding the coaching staff. A lot of the success JMUs last 2 coaches experienced fell in large part to the staff the brought with them from gig to gig. Makes things move a lot faster.

Looking forward to reading the spring practice articles and not have to see photos of these guys still in Penn State jerseys. Need to see Grunk in that nice Chicago maroon.

Great article! I'm looking forward to seeing a VT offense with a broader utilization of the TE position (which I assume will be the case) and having an OC that played OL might be right-on-time as our OL might be our biggest "unknown". Much like Pry as DC coaching the LB's which also could be one of the more challenging positions depth-wise. You have to think the transition from PSU to VT for the HC will be seamless with these assistants (NTM those transfers).
