as far as Franklin's 2025 team, I can't help but think it's like our 2010 Boise State game in that like one coach said after VT losing to JMU, "they let Boise beat them twice." And, given the resources Ohio State and Michigan have at their disposal, who could take over Penn St or any other BIG10 program and win consistently? Granted, Indiana has had a magical season, but I believe PSU screwed up in firing Franklin.

CC, fully agree. Until Tobi is 100%, he should not see the court in a game. We all know from our `24 football team, playing guys who are not well results are not good. Get Well soon Tobi and go HOKIES!!!

Do we know all of the $20M will get spent year 1? Someone is looking at the future and I would guess it will be spread over a few years.

I am loving life. We have one of the best football recruiters in the country. Our administration is totally committed for success. The fan base is outstanding. Our facilities are great. Most importantly. Virginia Tech is one of the best public universities in the entire Nation in an athletic Conference that is academically superior to all of the rest.

Unfortunately, I do not think our facilities are still considered to be great. We don't have office space for the new staff. There are other shortcomings.

Regarding Lawal, if his return is later than Syracuse, is he eligible for a medical redshirt, given the limited number of games he’s played this year. If so, sit him out the rest of the season and bring him back next year, fully recovered.

Toby was in the NBA portal last spring and came back to play. I'm not so sure he wants to keep playing college ball if the pro's beckon, even the European leagues. I believe this to be his last year at VPI.

Do we have any more info on when Tobi might be back? Seems to be open ended right now.

Directly from the article - "We’ve heard he had surgery on his ankle, though I joke that it’s a fifth metatarsal injury. We’ve also heard that Tech is loosely targeting the Jan. 21 game against Syracuse for his return."
