I’m not sure what to expect Mike Young to do with this team concerning offensive rebounding vs. getting back on defense. While he has the players to be a good offensive rebounding team I kind of do expect we will see Young take more chances to go after the offensive boards against certain opponent line ups, not so much others (i.e. UNC). What I am certain is that defensive rebounding will be better limiting teams to one shot which will help improve the defensive efficiency numbers.

There seems to be more interest and articles on basketball than football wonder why. ;)

Got to be Whit's fault that were only #2 in returning scoring ..

It’s really not that much of a positive considering how god awful we were last season. Remember when everyone was ecstatic that we returned all the players from a 6-6 football season two years ago… and shocker those players led us to 6-6 again. Returning production is only a big positive if it was good in the first place.

My son was a trainer and worked with Bud’s group. He told me that Bud was THE most intense guy he’d ever been around. But that he was also down to earth. He said one day Bud was letting the linebackers have it, then turned right around to him and asked, Are your parents coming up for the game the game?” My son, like all Hokies, thinks the world of Bud. He was surely good to him!
