Matt Moore is coaching hard and recruiting hard. (Ivan Morozov)
While it’s still early in the tenure of new Virginia Tech offensive line coach Matt Moore, I think he’s going to have a different recruiting philosophy than his predecessor. A lot of offensive linemen have already scheduled official visits to Virginia Tech, and we’ll see even more names added to the list as we get through the next few months.

The problem "to try and build your offensive line from within" for Tech is NIL as long as the Hokies are mediocre.
I think Moore was a good hire by Pry. He's both a good coach and a recruiter. BUT, what's his lifespan in the event of another 6-6 season? I like Pry, but it's just a shame he didn't bring in the quality/experience of Monty & Moore to begin with.
Still, I must BELIEVE! Go Hokies!!

I think it would be an incredible job by this coaching staff to get to six wins this year. With the drop off in talent and weakness at key positions, six wins will be very tough.

Any potential portal lineman?
Chris Coleman
Sure, but the portal hasn't opened yet, so we have know way of knowing who could be targeted.

Thanks its always difficult to know when the portal opens for each sport…….college sports and retaining players while entertaining portal players is so chaotic…along with coaching changes……is anyone in charge ?????

It really is an obvious strategy to oversign OLs every year at the expense of positions we can more easily find in the portal.

You would think so. It's just common sense and logic.

Thanks for putting this together. This may be the most important position to recruit from here on out, besides MAYBE QB. And that's a big maybe
