On Monday, Virginia Tech announced the hiring of Sam Siefkes as defensive coordinator. He’s a name that not many of you had heard before. I hadn’t heard of him either. Yet, he’s the man who has been charged with improving Tech’s defense, which will probably make or break the Brent Pry tenure. That’s a lot of pressure, and after reading up on him, I’m definitely okay with that.
