1) You did an article on how young Virginia Tech football players did in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl but did not touch on the offensive line. I’d like to hear your assessment of who of our returning linemen are on pace to start/contribute next year and who is more than a year away. Consider both performance in the bowl game, as well as any prior games. — VTKev80

Did you forget about Montavious Cunningham at Right Tackle? Would expect him to be in the 2 deep there.

If we’ve been relegated to a 6-6 football team, and the now large-enough sample size says we have, then I’d rather fund a few key Olympic sports so at least VT can be GOOD at something!

Unfortunately NIL is creeping into the softball space, highlighted by former Stanford pitcher NiJaree Canady getting a million dollar deal from Texas Tech this past summer. Correction - the deal was actually for $1,050,024 - the $24 is for Canady’s jersey number, the $50,000 is for living expenses, and the $1 million is for Canady.
The Matador Club is also giving each Texas Tech softball player $10,000.

There are reports that several pitchers in the portal landed deals of $100,000 plus and it's pretty well accepted that Oklahoma players are getting nice paydays as well. Heck there's a 15 year old softball player in Oklahoma who just inked an NIL deal.
I'm afraid it's only a matter of time before it becomes a necessary part of the equation.
Short term, the concern for softball is the number of scholarships available. The proposed settlement will take the number of softball scholarships from 12 to 25 and Clemson and FSU have stated that they will increase to the maximum. Hopefully, Coach Pete will get a few added - it doesn't necessarily have to be 25 but it needs to at least be 18 IMHO.

So many questions............Here is another. Do you think its realistic to expect another 6-6 season or is that asking too much.

Expect a 2-10 season, then your chances of feeling disappointed will go way down.
