   Any previous targets in high school recruiting (like Chris Cole) that may be good targets to fill positions of need? I always wonder how much the coaches keep in touch with kids that came down to VT and another school and pick the other school.

   "Because the Hokies are run-heavy, a wide receiver might not get as many targets as he would at other schools."...........That could change if Pop pops again in a bowl. There's a lot of wasted talent not catching a pass with Drones.

   WR Donovan McCulley from Indiana (sort of) has visited VT. Didn't get much playing under Cignetti but had a good 2023. WR Omari Kelly had a really good year at MTSU, after transferring from Auburn. Lots of WRs. Fewer RBs. Let's get some of those Ivy league linemen and a few road graders.

   This past season was our year to make a move. Hard to see a path above mediocrity since the new transfers in will not likely be the people we lost. Doubt there is a Tuten for RB, Peebles for DT, Lane for WR, etc. and let’s say we do fill all those - then we are 6-6. Until and unless there are coaching changes of some kind, we aren’t making a move.

   I would recruit over Drones and Watson. Find the best QB out there and pay him. But don’t make another mistake like KD. Get a proven winner, not a second stringer that you think will be good. (See what Syracuse did).

   Man, I don’t think Santa is going to be able to fill that wish list. The quote from the movie, Apollo 13, comes to mind when flight controller Gene Krantz rubs his brow after the explosion and says, “Okay, what do we have on the spacecraft that’s good?” Pry better hope some of these guys that red-shirted this season can play or 6-6 is going to look pretty good.

   Assuming healthy, I could see MacDonald having an impact at LB next year. He certainly has the body for it. Also, how do we have 15 OLmen and only 3-5 that can play? Can we get a OL coach out of the portal?

       Pry must be successful in the portal, otherwise there's going to be a significant drop in the talent as compared to this year.

    I think the biggest issue with the defense the past few years is the lack of "football instinct" by many of the position groups, especially the linebackers and safeties, which resulted in long run or pass plays.......
