   I don't think you are lying to your recruits if you honestly say as HC you have not made any final decisions regarding your staff.

   "How much of the retention failure falls on his shoulders is a matter of debate." Really? Pedulla, Nickel, Kidd and Collins are all getting much bigger paydays at their new schools and CMY had zero chance of keeping any of them because of the dearth of NIL funds. Debate? OK, what is the OTHER side of that argument? And I don't want to hear conjecture as we know the lack of NIL funds is a fact. Did CMY not try to get NIL funds? No, nitwits, he sat on his hands like all the BB board conspiracy theorists would have you believe. Sheesh... Debate... if there is one CC, then what the heck is it?

      Nickel is not getting more money than he was. We paid him like $400K for his 7 points per game. It sucks to lose Pedulla and Kidd but why does everyone get mad at VT? To this point all of the NIL money has come from fans and their personal payouts. It's just not fair to expect fans to pay for players.

   This^^^, Mines and the receivers are not the problem, it is Drones ability to hit a downfield target.

   Indiana and Vandy hired coaches who brought players with them. Who came with Pry and his staff?

      Indiana and Vandy both brought in coaches from lesser programs JMU (yea the looked good for a couple years but then why did the HC leave…) and New Mexico State…. Pry was a DC from Penn State….

   I think evaluation is important, but the thing missed there is that coaching is important. Improve players....we have shown no ability to do that. As far as Mines goes, I talked with an ex player who knows him very well, was told CFM is planning his exit strategy. We may talk about the coaches we want to replace, but we may lose some we don't want to replace.

   My problem is Duke, not Indiana or Vandy - how the hell have they changed coaches twice and still been more successful in football than VT (and don’t tell me “resources”)? I am willing to accept the Coach K effect in basketball (although it would have been helpful to hire him from Army in 1980), but there is no logical reason that VT has fallen behind Duke in football. When some of you STEM folks find an answer to that enigma wrapped in a mystery concealed in a riddle maybe the Hokies can again return to ACC relevance. Go Hokies - beat the ‘Hoo’s!

      Because we....Babcock and University fails to hire the right seasoned Head Coach and Coordinators who's capable of leading a program, developing talent, and calling x's and o's.

   The early signing period is a nightmare!!! It needs to go away! That is too much on coaches. Especially with the portal too! The NCAA is destroying college football to make an extra buck!

    Regarding Mines and the receivers, I think the main reason for the regression of Felton is the regression of Drones this year. Drones isn't an accurate downfield passer, especially the long ball and he tends to throw the ball low and behind his receivers! Drones is a Fields clone!

    How many drops has Ayden Greene had this year? Had he caught the ball he would have been very productive. Fast, Athletic, just seems to be in his head with catching. That is pretty important for the position. Mabye we would play FS although who knows if he can tackle.

    Been reading that NIL and playing time are 2 main drivers for selecting a school to play. If that’s the case be straight up and let the chips fall where they may. The good ones will probably transfer in 2 years anyway.
