   Did Carys Baker grow some from last year? She looked taller, maybe even slimmer and a new hairstyle. Hoping she has a great year. GO HOKIES!!!

   Our freshman bigs - R. White, Petersen, Hazelton - will need to get some experience early and get tough in their roles. If Rose hits foul trouble, which happens so much in any post play, the young post players will be in the thick of it often. Can't wait to see them develop.

   Love this Duffy quote, shows that she knows how to play to her teams strengths: “I’ve always believed you’ve got to fit your players, and we’ll recruit to fill those voids that we need, but we want to play fast, we want to play free,” Duffy said. “I always like to explain it that the first 10-12 seconds of the shot clock is their time to create and fill lanes and have fun, and then that back end of the shot clock is where the coaches come into play a little bit more with our X’s and O’s and style.

   This should be fun and I'm going to allow a honeymoon year just like I did for football so try to relax a little bit when things don't go well, just enjoy the development. Anyway, too early to get in much analysis, eg will we see more players on the floor? will Rose play back to the basket type stuff. I'm heading down mid Nov to watch some of the - hopefully - cup cake games.
