   can anyone translate the defensive line jargon for me? 3 technique and get upfield I am tracking (1 gap DT like Pollard or Kendricks attacking the gap outside the guard's shoulder) but what is a "4 high" technique for a DL?

      Probably misunderstood by writer. I would suspect a "4i" which is inside shoulder of the tackle instead of 3 which is outside shoulder of the guard.

   I saw Kemari play in high school. He played the Mike and all he did was blow up an O-lineman and chase down ballcarriers. Dominated. He’s obviously gotten bigger and stronger with great burst. I think this young man will spend a lot of time in opposing team’s backfield!! Great commit!!

      If he didn't play in more than 4 games, then as far as his eligibility is concerned, he redshirted.

      Redshirt is not an NCAA term. If he didn't play he "redshirted" in the common parlance because he did not use a year of eligibility. Since it isn't an NCAA term no player actually redshirts.
