I’ll reiterate: this was a bad matchup for the Hokies. Forget whatever Vegas figured or what NC State’s scores have looked like over the season. They were strong in talent/scheme areas the Hokies have a hard time handling, and in contrast to BC’s slow degradation, you didn’t have to see much of State playing to sense an upward track with the offense.
