I thought Rudolph was gonna kill it, and he did.

No kidding.

Rudolph looked like the best hire on paper and may have ended up being the worst…

Couldn't help but laugh when I read "Hokies really struggled to block Wofford, an FCS team that won one game. That’s when I first realized that 2022 might be long. Five days later, after the WVU game, I knew it for sure." I think we all did. Insightful article. Can't wait to see the weight updates and 2-deep, by position. But, really can't wait to get back to Lane. Excited to see our growth.

Same here. I have many memories of Hokie football over the years, many good, some bad. The loss to VMI in Lane on the coldest day of the 20th century is one. The realization that the OL is not working against Wofford and we’re gonna be bad this year… is another. And the snap overhead in the ODU game that cost us the game. More bad than good the last few years. But I got a feeling this year will mark a turning point.

I think Rudolph was a bad fit for VT. Crooks seems like they type of coach we’ve had success with in the past like Vice and Jeff Grimes.

Thanks for saving my fingers some work.

In retrospect, Rudolph was a bad hire. No one thought that when we hired him though. Or no one I remember.

Rudolph was a pretty bad hire. I don't recall if any recruits are to his credit and his schemes didn't match his players at all. A good coach adopts to his players. He just didn't do that.
