Good stuff, Chris. I get the numbers dilemma, but at this point I don’t think Tech should turn down this level of talent. If that means an attempt at some point to convince a current receiver to move to defense, so be it.

If I recall correctly (and I may be wrong) Wiggins and White are or have been teammates at least at a point in time. If we don't take White could that turn off Wiggins to staying with us?

I bet Pry is taking a very large role with Cole's recruitment.

Is Fontel on Cole? He should be!

Pry has said he tells players he is always trying to recruit over them. if White is better than guys from last year perhaps he is a take and more attrition occurs.

At the tailgate tour event in Richmond, Pry admitted Franklin tried to hire Mines away. Pry jokingly said he and Franklin aren’t friends anymore because of it. Pry commended Whit (who was also there) for quickly restructuring Mines contract.

Tony Ball was awesome. Bumped into him at the Marriott Biscane Bay before the 2004 Miami game at the old orange bowl. He was fired up and guaranteed everyone at the “Soda” shop we would clinch the ACC the next day and we did. Eddie Royal for the game winner.

Belfort will be a star. He is a big reason all these recruits are coming.

Receivers can only catch what’s thrown. Therefore it’s an equation. Who is going to throw for Tech? Hopefully someone with equivalent skills.

This is why this year is absolutely crucial to look competent on offense.

Would a possible gray shirt work for White? (Would he consider it?)

Interesting thought. Hadn't heard anything about gray shirts in a while...

UNfortunately, it is more than just about the numbers. Unfortunately or fortunately, it is more so about VT not telling some other player that isn't as good that we won't honor the scholarship offer. We could take all 3 but that would mean letting go of someone else...or encouraging someone else to transfer.... that is the real blocking point right?
