Brent Pry is recruiting at a higher level so far this year. (Virginia Tech sports photography)
A couple of weeks back, I took a question in the Friday Q&A that asked whether Virginia Tech football recruiting was improving. My answer at that point was yes, it has improved over the last couple of years, but it was still slightly behind the peak Justin Fuente years from a ratings perspective.

if we had UNC or FSU talented QB’s on our team this year then we probably win more games. Our mediocrity has a lot to do with an offense that scares no team. If that flips this year I expect recruiting to improve moving forward.

I’m hoping that part of winning plenty more games includes winning an ACC title or two! I’ll give Pry credit…he’s stepping up on the recruiting trail. Love it!!

Typo? Should, "We aren’t likely to see Virginia Tech and Clemson/FSU levels of recruiting" read "at Clemson/FSU levels"...?

How can we know? He’s not even going to write this article for another ten days…
“Here’s how things stand as of Monday, June 29:“
Although, June 29 isn’t on a Monday for another three years, so who knows!
(Just kidding, just kidding!)

What I love about this class so far and even last year was that we took no projects. Recruiting has come such a long way that Kam Chancellor’s of the world no longer exist

I like the Pry is a natural sales guy. Something that Tony Elliott and our previous guy don't have.

I get the feeling that is the main reason we are seeing these recruits speak so highly of what they perceive (and were told during their visits) is an up and coming team that will be like the 10 game winners in the past.
