Blitzes challenge offenses mentally by forcing them to respond to volatile alignments, and challenge them physically by turning hand- and footwork-focused blockers into shoulder-slammers and reducing the blockers’ ability to double-team defenders. We looked at Pry’s defense with Penn State shortly after he was hired by Virginia Tech.
