I hope that you will do a follow up on how these things panned out.

Will “TSL Andy” be reporting the spring game and fall home games from the press box or in the stands “Will and Chris” style?
Andy Bitter
Press box 4 life!
Hokieville
Curious. How many ‘real’ reporters are in the press box now compared to 5 or 10 years ago?

Glad to see you giving Watson and Coney some love. IMO, they are the future of VTs backfield.

Andy are Tahj Bullock, Devin Farrell, and Ben Locklear the forgotten QBs? It seems the press coverage is Wells, Drones, and Watson, who we know will red-shirt and be around next season. I would love to see Bullock beat out Drones by seeing greater development kick in. He is bigger, but from what I have seen of him in HS he is a pass-first QB which may not be the current flavor with more QB runs on the plate, but he has shown skill here too. So ... what's up with Bullock and Locklear, another prototypical-size QB?
Andy Bitter
Locklear's never going to play here. That might sound harsh, but he's a walk-on in a room with six scholarship quarterbacks. It's just the way it is.
Bullock seems to be progressing, but remember, he was a recruit from a previous staff. Devin Farrell too, somewhat. Those were guys these coaches inherited, and as such, you always wonder if they'll fit into what Pry and Bowen want to do offensively.
Wells, Drones, Watson and Wittke are all QBs recruited by the new regime. That's why I tend to focus a bit more on them than the ones I think will have a harder time making headway on the depth chart.
VTVOICE
Good observation, and I forgot Wittke to the nameless, but your comment "he (Bullock & Farrell) was a recruit from a previous staff" makes some sense that I wish didn't, especially as to Bullock.

Minor thought: You wrote "This will be a chance for a lot of players on the fringe of the roster to make a final impression before coaches, as Brent Pry is fond of saying, have to have some hard conversations." Will it? Some may not even get in the game or, if so, play so few reps or have so lttle actual action. that it won't matter.

Tisdale is interesting. He’s been in the program forever and it seems to me that every season expectations are very high. He’s had some issues off the field and his play, in my opinion, has been very inconsistent. I know the coaches
like his speed but when I’ve watched him I see missed assignments and missed tackles.
