A year ago this week, I had one of my best experiences as a Virginia Tech basketball fan. Will and I got table seats courtside in Cassell Coliseum and watched gleefully, from literally just a few feet away, as the Hokies dismantled Louisville, 75-43, in a game that was never competitive. The Cardinals finished the season 13-19 overall and 6-14 in the ACC, and we all figured that was just about as bad as that program could get.
