Thanks for the objective comments. Minimal improvement.
Now, please don’t be tempted and drink the bug juice between now and next Fall and start telling us how rosy the picture is. It isn’t.

Well Crap. Just don’t watch then. This time next year, it ain’t improved, we retaining those at direct fault…..then yes. Until then, i choose to be optimistic.

How many of the procedure penalties and false starts were on Wells not being assertive at the LOS? What can be done to get Wells to look more than 5 yds downfield for a receiver in a progression except on plays called to go downfield to stretch the defense.
Why can receivers on some other teams hold a block for more than a swipe?
Frustrating!

OUCH!..........Even in the offseason season of irrational exuberance, that sounds ugly....OUCH!

Reading between the lines, you seem to think King is what he is at this point……
But Wells can improve? Wells problems seem to be fundamental: he doesn’t see the field well at all (worse on the move), throws bad picks, gets visibly down on himself.
That’s not stuff that improves IMO.

A little better won't cut it. Did any of the offensive coaches show you anything indicating they should be retained?
NativeBurger
Very depressing but probably accurate. We lack offensive talent and the coaches on that side of the ball have not impressed.

Sounds like more drinking and headaches for Hokie fans.

Very discouraging comments. If Tech can't come up with a long term QB that can really lead the team and help move the footall and a couple of good RBs, I don't know how 2023 can be any better or 2024 either
I sure hope I'm bad wrong.
WOJO
I hope you are bad wrong as well
The offense seemed to play in slow motion outside a few big plays
Really need a way to up the yards per play and catch the ball…… oh my the drops

Terrific article but I have to admit, considering next year is fairly depressing, particularly if there is not much change in the offense. It was beyond pitiful last year. Really just think the O staff is not a working engine. Really not sure Pry can survive another year like last year and really not sure he should.

Net net - about the same next year, so lower 10% in college football. Hate to be negative but I don’t see a major improvement in any one area. The left side of the line with Chaplin and Moore the younger will help the running game, a healthy Thomas will help there too, but realistically WR looks about the same, given we lost Smith, Thomas is a good RB but not elite, King is what he is (good complimentary player). TE might develop and provide an advantage. But Most importantly, I have no confidence in Wells and clearly the coaching staffing doesn’t either. Drones is the wild card. He could be the type of player we need to move the balls. Let’s see.
