   Read in MSN Sports on Microsoft this morning that our Hokies have the largest number of potential portal transfers of all the P5 schools, now at 11. These include good players like Caleb Smith, Artis, etc. It does make you think. Under previous coaches if we had 5, the fan outrage would be extensive. The good news....we will have plenty of roster room. The bad news is it makes you wonder how well our new coaches were accepted and which direction our program is heading.

   oh yee of little faith! Delane is staying this is huge positive show we have enough NIL to keep our good talent. We can and will get some good Portal players, I'd be more worried if we have enough roster room yet to take or go after as many as we want. Spring will bring more attrition may be able to offer more then. However, if they are going to contribute in 2 deep need to get them here for winter and spring work with team

      Yay, we have one freshman with some upside sticking around! Your unfounded optimism baffles me. We just had our worst season in 30 years, our NIL boosting is laughable compared to any major football school, and we have the most players transferring of any P5 school. None of this points to anything positive in the future.

   Anyone know if we're trying to get a QB? Serms to me the prospective WRs might be asking that question.

      Yes, Tech will try to get a QB I believe. And the WRs will want to know about the QB situation. And of course, any potential incoming QB will want to know who he's got to throw to now that Kaleb Smith is leaving. So what comes first, the chicken or the egg? I dunno. Up to Pry to sort out.

         Chris, isn't it possible for some of these players to withdraw from the portal? I wonder if guys like Smith and Chatman aren't just trying to get more NIL money from VT boosters.

   NOne of the WRs are FBS or P5? An acknowledgement that none will come here or not that many yet in the portal. I know these are just known offers. CBs could also be because of injuries to current players

      The Athletic just put out an article of transfer portal guys and they said WR is absolutely loaded. There are guys to be had, gotta have the closers to get some talent. Hope we can. Jennings would be a nice start. But to be very honest, if my kid was a wr and hit the portal, VT would probably be the absolute last place I would send them. I seriously fear we are the modern day Rutgers. If I were Rutgers or Temple of the 90's, or Colorado pre Deion...I think it would kind of feel like we are now. No real talent, no recruiting, no portal interest from serious players, no playmakers on the roster. This portal cycle will determine Pry's future.

      Wasting no time at all; Colorado is hungry. Coach Prime is another good if not great coaching hire that deserved a much closer look by the Hokies. Deion or Shane could have really worked out here and shortened our rebuild time. It's in Pry We Trust now.

   If Bradshaw plays next year, he will be electric in the slot. Need height and speed on the outside at WR. Next up we need DEs that can get pressure. Lastly a RB with skills that is built like a P5 player. QB is a concern as well, Rollin dice with Wells is probably what is going to happen there.

      We can't waste any more time on Wells or Bowen. If Bowen is gonna stay, then we better upgrade QB to a playmaker and get multiple portal wrs and OL. We need DEs that can rush..but we can compete with our defense..the offense is flat out embarrassingly bad and we need to be super duper aggressive

    Just a reminder, there are 130 other schools mining the transfer portal, so it's not going to be easy to sign everyone we want.
