Always admire guys who take the tough route. Whichever sport he ends up in he will give it 100% T/M

Wishing him the best! Let's hope he turns out like Curley Culp!

This is basically Pry rightfully so, sneaking in a scholarship player on the roster, without the scholarship impact

Not quite. As noted in the article, if he EVER plays any football for VT, then he becomes a scholarship player for football. Yes, I can see where it's a way to go over the limit for football for 1 year...but are we at or near the limit?

That is an almost impossible task and would be if there were no overlap of seasons. The physical and mental toll from football right into wrestling and then spring practice will be huge.

Kenny Whitley Tech linebacker in ‘63’ played both football and wrestled heavyweight and was successful at both.

Can he drop weight for wrestling and put it back on for football?

If he's a Defensive end, he wouldn't need to. He can be up to 285 lbs and still be light enough for the Heavyweight category, which runs from 183 to 285. Get him to whatever weight, less than 285, that keeps him quick and he'll have great potential in both sports.

Sounds like a guy you've got to love. Looking forward to seeing him on the mat and on the field. It'll be a tough combination but anything is possible!
