Stu Holt comes to the Hokies from Louisville, and he will handle running backs and special teams for the Hokies in 2022. He was part of the App State mafia that moved on to Louisville a few years back. Prior to ASU, he was with Willie Taggart in his first two seasons at USF, and before that he had stops at Western Kentucky and Tennessee State. He was a GA at Western Carolina, where he met Brent Pry. As far as I can tell, Holt’s been good at all of his stops and in all of his roles. He coached up Louisville’s dangerous tight ends, and his return teams could advance the ball. He coached RBs at App State, and they piled up yardage under his tutelage. Before getting into coaching, he was a long snapper for UNC.
