Less than two weeks ago, Virginia Tech was 10-10 overall (2-7 ACC) and faced a road game against Florida State, who at the time was one of the top teams in the conference standings. Tech hadn’t won in Tallahassee since February of 1990, and considering the seasons that each team was experiencing to date, there was absolutely no reason to believe that the Hokies had a good chance to win that basketball game.
