It’s late June, and the NCAA recently extended the recruiting dead period yet again to August 31. That means that no prospects will be able to meet face-to-face with coaches until at least that date. However, that won’t stop some recruits from making their decision over the summer, and as we’ve discussed before, college football could be dealing with a wave of decommits once recruiting finally opens back up (whenever that may be).
The evaluation process has also been thrown off, with rankings being wildly different for many prospects across the difference sites. How do you evaluate when there is no evaluation period and no camps? That has been a difficult question for everybody to answer, coaches included.
