Today we’ll talk a little Virginia Tech recruiting, including what went on at the Hokies’ Junior Day event(s) over the weekend. The Tech coaching staff was burning the midnight oil as a group of players visited from a state that historically hasn’t sent many players to Blacksburg.
This past weekend also represented the beginning of the new recruiting cycle. Since the Dead Period is over, we’ll see prospects taking visits on a weekly basis from now through the summer.
Midnight Madness
If you follow recruiting on social media (and I don’t blame you if you don’t) then you might have seen some reference to “Midnight Madness” at Virginia Tech in the days leading up to this past weekend. I didn’t know exactly what it meant, but there were more Tweets about a group of players from California who were visiting Blacksburg soon. As it turns out, they go hand-in-hand.
