Tracy Claeys has quite the resume. He’s been nominated three times for the Broyles Award, twice while at Minnesota and once while at Washington State. His 2016 defense ranked 13th in both S&P+ and FEI. He got the job at Washington State after beating the Cougars in a bowl where he held a Mike Leach offense to 12 points despite missing several starters in the secondary. In the offense-heavy Pac-12, his 2018 squad forced lots of turnovers and made plenty of tackles behind the line.
