Wake Forest is a good team. You don’t get to this point in the season with only one loss and not be a good team. How their schedule has worked is similar in some broad strokes to Tech’s. The overall strength balance is similar; drilling down, they beat the smaller schools, lost a close one to the best team on their schedule, and in between have played some ACC teams that are on the edge of good or bad. They were more successful against common opponents, beating BC 27-24 and UNC 24-18. While their upcoming game against Clemson would be a good barometer, I think it’s to Tech’s advantage to get in just before the Tigers.
