When you're talking to Class of 2019 quarterback Max Duggan, he sounds tough. On the field, Duggan, who plays at Lewis Central in Council Bluffs, Iowa, broke his right thumb (throwing hand) in the second game of the season, and then broke his fibula Nov. 3 in the state quarterfinals.
Still in recovery from both injuries, Duggan — who's listed at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds — also has a head cold that has him sounding a bit raspy and hoarse. But, Duggan’s work when he was healthy has still been enough to keep his recruitment rolling. Ohio State offered on Sunday and Virginia Tech offered on Dec. 6, bringing his total to 16 offers.
