Virginia Tech signed a loaded defensive class in February of 2016, which means most of their defensive needs in 2017 are less pressing.
The Hokies signed three defensive ends, two defensive tackles and four linebackers in 2016, so isn't as much recruiting room in the front seven in the 2017 class. However, I do expect the coaching staff to take a number of defensive backs in this cycle. In fact, the Hokies have offered and are recruiting so many different defensive backs that it's tough to keep track of them all.
