Hezekiah Grimsley made his mark on Williamsburg (VA) Lafayette High School’s varsity football squad last season as a junior, when he scored 18 touchdowns (13 receiving, three kick-off returns, two interception returns) while helping the Rams to an undefeated regular season. A 4A first-team all-state selection at wide receiver, Grimsley hauled in 38 receptions for 1,064 yards. He was also a first-team all-4A East selection at wide receiver and kick returner and a second-team all-4A East selection at defensive back, where he tallied seven interceptions in total in 2015.

"He's the guy we put on the other team's best receiver," Lafayette head coach Andy Linn said of Grimsley in this article by the Daily Press. "He's naturally fluid and can turn his hips and run. At 6-1, with good jumping ability, he's hard to go over but has the athletic ability to stay under a receiver."
