Justin Fuente is the new head coach of the Virginia Tech football program. As Chris Coleman notes, hiring a staff is the first task for the former Memphis Tigers head man. It's also important for the new coach to hit the recruiting trail with the initial goals being to firm up the current commitments while also closing out the class strong in the final months before National Signing Day.

Coach Fuente closed Memphis' class of 2012 in good fashion, gaining at least 20 commitments -- including current star QB Paxton Lynch, who committed the weekend before National Signing Day for the 2012 Class -- after being named Tigers' head coach on December 8, 2011 (info per Rivals). In terms of Virginia Tech's class of 2016, seven planned to enroll at Tech in January of 2016 prior to Frank Beamer announcing his retirement.
