Overall, I'd call Saturday against Furman a success, as an isolated football day and football game. The weather was good, the crowd was bigger than I thought it would be (60,118 announced attendance), the Hokies made it out without any significant injuries, and the final score was of the magnitude that a Virginia Tech-Furman game should be. The Hokies should beat Furman by a score similar to 42-3, and they did.
There are a few things to worry about, and we'll touch on those, but I preached patience last week, so I must practice what I preach.
