Only a rising junior who does not have to sign an official letter of intent until February of 2017, Stonewall Jackson (Manassas, VA) athlete Devante Smith certainly could have waited a while longer to make his college choice. The 6'1", 185-pound prospect didn't need more time, though, and so he verbally committed to Virginia Tech earlier this week.
"I felt comfortable being there and being around the coaches and I want to major in Engineering and they're well known for that," Smith said when asked why he committed to Virginia Tech.
