We all know by now that Frank Beamer isn't a big fan of making coaching changes. He only does it when he feels it is absolutely necessary, or when a member of his staff leaves for another program. For the third season in a row, Frank is going to have to make a coaching hire, and it will be interesting to see how he handles it.
Coaching changes are rare around these parts, though they have been much more common since the end of the 2010 season. Since early 2011, Beamer has made six new coaching hires, with a seventh on the way to replace Aaron Moorehead. From 2002-2005, he didn't make any hires at all, as Tech's staff stood pat. This is new ground.
