Hopewell (VA) defensive end Darrell Taylor attended Virginia Tech's Spring Game this past April. This past Saturday, the 6'4", 227-pound senior was back in Lane Stadium to see Virginia Tech's 34-9 victory over William & Mary. What did he think about his first ever regular season game experience in Lane?
"Darrell doesn't say a whole lot, but he told me he was very impressed with the crowd and the energy in the stadium," Hopewell head coach Ricky Irby said. "Also, whenever he left his seat to go to the concession stands or whatever, Hokie fans made sure he knew they wanted him in Blacksburg. He liked that."
