Virginia Tech football – and potentially basketball as well - received a boost National Signing Day, when Trinity Christian Academy (Jacksonville, FL) standout Isaiah Ford signed with the Hokies over Florida, Louisville and Miami. Ford, a Class 3A first-team all-state wide receiver his senior season, was one of Frank Beamer’s top offensive targets in the class. The 6’2”, 180-pound prospect’s decision made a solid wide receiver class a very good one, as he is expected to see the field as a true freshman.
