By signing Desmond Frye in 2012 and DJ Reid in 2013, and with CJ Reavis set to sign in February of 2014, Virginia Tech has enjoyed quite a bit of recent success in recruiting Thomas Dale High School (Chester, VA). The Tech coaches are looking to continue the impressive recruiting run at Dale in the class of 2015, as head coach Frank Beamer has offered a scholarship to Knights defensive tackle Darvin Taylor II .
The 6'3", 290-pound Taylor traveled to Blacksburg on June 2 for Tech's first one-day camp of 2013. He had already been offered by Beamer, so he did not need to prove anything to the Tech coaches, but he still decided to participate.
