Virginia Tech is after a very strong group of defensive linemen in the 2014 class. In the last week, we've had good news and bad news with regards to defensive line recruiting.

DE Da'Shawn Hand : Virginia Tech's chances of landing Da'Shawn Hand remain the same as they've ever been. Though he just visited Ohio State, the Hokies and Michigan are still thought to be the top two schools in play for the nation's #1 ranked prospect. I'd give Tech the edge at this point, based on location and familiarity, but Michigan is clearly a strong player. I don't think he'll wait until late in the process to decide, like many 5-star prospects. Lots of 5-star guys like the attention, but Hand isn't that type of recruit. I wouldn't be surprised if he made his decision by the end of the summer.
