Pine Crest (Fort Lauderdale, FL) head coach Jim Pletcher finally got his wish last spring, when Kalvin Cline , a standout basketball player at the school, decided to give football a try.
"First of all with him, he is a 2-time all-county basketball player," Pletcher said of the 6'5" Cline, a class of 2013 prospect who just committed to Virginia Tech. "I stalked him for three years, but he had that basketball dream of going to play ACC basketball. He is one heck of an athlete. He didn't start playing until this time last year. He came out in the spring, had a real nice spring, and got in the weight room real hard starting last April. He's a natural."
