For the second year in a row, the battle for Tech's starting tailback position is open. Last year Michael Holmes won the job with good scrimmage performances in the spring and in August, but he lost it to J.C. Coleman and others during the regular season.

Coleman's experience and time at the top of the depth chart last season make him the likely candidate to start the spring at #1. It's tougher to project the depth chart behind Coleman, but I do believe Trey Edmunds will be one of the top two guys by the time the Alabama game rolls around.
