Massaponax (Fredericksburg, VA) rising senior defensive end Vinny Mihota has been solid to Virginia Tech since he committed last April, but that didn't stop defending national champion Alabama from throwing its proverbial hat in the ring.
"My head coach received a call from [Alabama Outside Linebackers Coach Lance] Thompson. My coach told me to call Nick Saban," Mihota said. "I called him and he said I have a full scholarship offer to attend Alabama. I was very surprised. It came out of nowhere."
