Virginia Tech welcomed 18 new members into its football family today. As usual, this year's recruiting effort features strengths at certain positions, while the coaching staff probably wishes they had done a little better at some other spots.
You can slice, dice and analyze recruiting classes from every possible angle, and you'll always come up with the same answer: we won't know how good this group will be for another four years or thereabouts. Virginia Tech's 2013 class is no different. I like the potential of the guys who signed on the dotted line, but the fact of the matter is that none of them have set foot on a college football field, they haven't gone through college classes, and they've never lived away from home. Things could go in any direction for this group.
