Prior to making an official visit to Virginia Tech this past Sunday through Tuesday, Trevor Thompson received one piece of advice from St. John's Northwestern Military Academy (Delafield, WI) postgraduate head coach Brian Richert. The advice was to "always follow your gut," Richert recalled.
The 6'11" center did just that, and before he left Blacksburg he had verbally committed to Hokies head coach James Johnson.
