Reflecting on what was a standout career at Lafayette High School (Williamsburg, VA), future Virginia Tech Hokie Thomas Smith said: "My favorite memory was probably coming back the way we did. My junior year, we were set back because we had an ineligible player. My senior year, we had the motivation to come back and make it to the playoffs. We did. That's something I won't forget."
Since his Rams career came to an end, the 6'3 1/2", 217-pound wide receiver recruit has continued to push hard. He trains at In Motion at the Boo Williams Sportsplex. And he has now begun catching at least 100 passes per day, something he plans to continue until he arrives at Fork Union Military Academy in mid-August.
