St. Christopher's (Richmond, VA) rising senior tight end/defensive lineman Jack English began his 2012 camp schedule last Sunday at Virginia Tech. One day later, he received some good news.
"Last Sunday was his first camp, and it was his first offer. He got it the next day," Saints head coach Michael Turner said. "According to Virginia Tech's coaches, Jack looked spectacular when they were putting him through the tight end paces. He also did some pass- blocking drills as a tackle, and he did well there too. He measured in at 6'5 1/2", 245 pounds or so, and I think he ran a 4.7 and change in the 40."
