As you probably know by now, Virginia Tech lost two more members of the basketball coaching staff on Monday. Assistant coach Rob Ehsan and Director of Basketball Operations Jeff Wulbrun are leaving to take open spots on the new staff at UAB.
The departures of Ehsan and Wulbrun are just the latest in a trend of assistant coaches leaving Blacksburg to take other jobs. For the record, Wulbrun got a promotion. To go from a Director of Basketball Operations (Adrian Autry made $47,025 in that role before being promoted to full-time assistant) to a full-time assistant is a step up. That is no reflection on Seth Greenberg, or the Tech basketball program. It's simply a guy who is looking to double his salary and get involved in more coaching and recruiting. He made the right choice for himself.
