From 2008-2010, Jerome Wright played running back for the Central Virginia Disciples, a football program featuring home-schooled athletes. After three years, though, he was ready for another level of competition. Playing for Highland Springs (VA) this season certainly served as the challenge Wright was seeking, and his performance throughout the year caught the attention of several colleges including Virginia Tech.

"I started playing for the Disciples my freshman year. Competition-wise, I felt like it wasn't enough," said Wright, a 6'2", 220-pound prospect. "I felt I needed to prove myself first to be good enough to play on the next level."
